Hi there, my name is Ricky and I've just started to collect for the Megadrive. My cousin used to own one when I was a kid and I have great memories of playing Micro machines, Sonic, Golden Axe and Streets of rage. I currently have around 20 games and a Megadrive II, I'm going to try and collect all the good games for the system, All killer, no filler Another thing that made me interested in the Megadrive is the active homebrew scene it has. Anyways, looking forward to meeting new friends and learning all I can about this awesome system, Cheers!

Welcome Ricky, nice to see ya here dude If you ever come across a Mega Drive 1, it´s recommended to pick it up. It has better quality. My MD collection is not that big as well, I get only the games I really want to play. The homebrew scene is very interesting indeed and it will be even better during the next months and years! Kabuto Factory is in it´s final steps to finish Knights & Demons, 1985 Alternativo is still working on Antarex (which looks not as bad as I thought) and we will see It Came From The Desert next year.

Thanks Marco I'll try and pick up a Mega Drive 1, I didn't realise there was any difference. Yes the homebrew scene is very lively, there's a few games that have caught my eye, the Master System Brawl game looks fun too. What Megadrive games do you recommend I get for my collection, I was thinking of buying all the Sonic games first

The Mega Drive 1 has a better soundchip and the AV connection on the backside. I think there are more positive things but I can´t remember right now. Sega Master System Brawl will be outstanding, Bonaf is working very well on it! As for recommendations, Micro Machines is always fun. Wonder Boy in Monster World is really good (one of the best Wonder Boy games), and the ToeJam and Earl games are fun as well. Pier Solar is an amazing adventure by the way

No problem dude And cool about the MD1, I hope your friend has an AV cable for it. Others would recommend the Phantasy Star games I guess, but I never played them before.
